Special Fundraising Auction for Dreamer Arlene Glidden

Many of you know Arlene through email and swaps. She has been a member  of Doll Street Dreamers since 2004. She was a member of Reigning Dolls an Bears until she moved to the Eugene area. She then joined Stitchin' Time Cloth Doll Club in Eugene. Arlene has had poor health for sometime. Her health deteriorated further. She had to downsize her home early late last year when she moved into a singlewide mobile home. She had heart surgery in December. She has had several surgeries  over the years. She also is diabetic and has asthma. The medications conflict so she has trouble breathing. She can only walk short distances in her home. She only gets out to go to the doctor. She has reached the pharmaceutical donut hole so meds are running about $600/month.

Arlene gave me all her stash late last year and asked that I see that it got good homes.  The books, supplies and many patterns were sold to club members. We have sold a few items at a Quilt Show. Due to her health we did not want to give anything away, but only use it to raise money for her benefit. Judi has graciously reduced her commission to help in our fundraising. There will be approximately 40 groups of items placed for auction through Doll Street Dreamers. There are 11 lots of magazines - each with between 4 and 6 magazines. There will be between 3 and 8 patterns per group. All the magazines and patterns are uncut. They are all in good condition.

We are starting the bids low. Please consider where the money will go when you bid.
